Superbowl Party

This is the first year everyone got together to have a party for the big game. Usually it's just a few of us, so while making the yearly itinerary I made sure to schedule a Superbowl party. I know some of you are probable wondering why we have a itinerary for family events throughout the year. See, if you are asking that question you don't understand every one's schedules so I'll give you a quick run down. My parents have eight children, four of them are married, three of them have kids. Alison and Eric; Taylor, Kalli, Ryan, and Mylan, Jennifer and Brian; Hunter, Harrison, Hagan, and Haven, Clayton and Kim; Skylen, and Keaton. Then one of my brothers is away in the US Marine Corps ( "Hooray") Justin. My sister Crystal lives one town over and works as a vampire at the CKBC strange hours. Plus did I mention that we have more adults going to school then the children in our family. My mother Kim and myself ( RN to BSN) if we can pass statistics...lol, Brian ( nurse practitioner), Alison( RN), Eric ( surgical tech), Kim #2 ( going to college), and hopefully Greg and Angelica will pursue their 2nd degrees and become RN's. So now you see why we have an itinerary. Now that I've told you all of that you see why I don't have time to talk about the party itself, so here are the pics, I have to get ready to go to hell;I mean statistics.......

Sister-in-Laws

Last week we celebrated both of my sister-in-laws birthday's. My brother Clayton's wife Kim, had a birthday on January 26th. My brother Greg's wife Angelica celebrated her birthday on February 5th. I am very happy they are both in our family, and I know they make both of my brothers happy. Happy birthday Girls!!!!!!!! Love ya

Snow Angels

Well if you read my last entry about the midget lady you know it snowed last weekend. While I was trapped at work all weekend Brian and the kids enjoyed playing out in the beautiful snow.

The Midget Lady

It's been awhile since I have made a posting I have been so busy lately. Last weekend we got a nice winter storm that left behind 6-7 inches of beautiful white powder. I had to work all weekend so Mom, Amanda, Greg, Angelica, and myself stayed in Lexington in a hotel. We shared one room with 2 queen beds, you heard right, 2 queen beds!!! That was all they had, so Mom, Amanda, and myself slept in a bed; and Greg and Angelica slept in the other. I had a wonderful night filled with 4 feet, 2 on each side of my head, since we could only fit two at the top and one at the bottom. Mom snored the roof off and Amanda grinded her teeth all night. Once when I woke up I was in a position that looked like I was in stir-rips getting ready to push out a baby!
The next night I thought I would attempt to sleep with the newlyweds, and to my surprise we had a lot more room. Before we all fell asleep we were laughing at the story I told about the last time we stayed up there and right after I fell asleep I thought I saw a midget lady run across the room to mom's side of the bed, I jumped up and yelled " Mom, there she goes!" Mom knew I was dreaming and told me to lay down and shut-up. We all fell into a much needed sleep until Angelica, Greg, and myself were startled awake by a woman's blood curling screams. We all 3 ran over to the window to see what was going on. When we looked out we saw a woman running across the yard to a house and banging on the front door. A car sped off down the street as soon as the owner of the house came out. As the 3 of us are figuring out what is going on Mom and Amanda wake up. Mom yells over there " are you 3 looking for that midget lady?" We start laughing and then we tell them what's going on. Soon the place was covered with police cars and we all tried to get some sleep. Needless to say it was a very long and tiring weekend.

Scrapbook trip

I've waited all year for this trip. A few of my closest peeps go with me every year to Brown County IN to take a very short four day trip to do nothing but scrapbook. We always have a great time and eat way to much, the food there is wonderful. My goal this year was to catch up my family album and I did break a record by finishing 24 page layouts. For those of you who aren't scrappers that's alot. I didn't finish out the year, so I don't know when I'll get around to it but it will get done sometime. I only wish Amanda and Ashley could have been there.

Hagan's Four!

Happy birthday Hagan! My how you've grown and I am so glad I'm your Momma. You are a little stubborn sometimes, well make that most of the time, but that is just who you are. We took you to Chuckie Cheeses and you had a good time. Afterwards we had our families over for the party and we celebrated Denny's birthday too. ( He is Brian's stepdad for those of you who don't know) Hagan I hope your birthday was filled with lots of fun.

New Years

Well Happy New Years!!! This year I am going to set new goals that will hopefully help us manage our life and home better. My goals are the following; spend quality time with the kids and stop worrying over the little things (like a clean and perfect house). Save more money and spend less, be kind and more understanding to the people in my life, read the bible this year completely, get more organized, and try to get healthier. Lord please help me with all of my goals this year.
